Lotto 6/49 is one of Canada’s most popular lottery games, attracting players each week with its large jackpots. Players have the chance to win the grand prize by selecting 6 numbers between 1 and 49. During my time working as a designer at Pound and Grain, I worked closely with the design team to strengthen the Lotto 6/49 brand’s social media presence and increase its visibility by bringing new content designs to life.

The goal of this project was to update the weekly changing prize amounts and to produce dynamic and engaging content that included the 2023 photoshoots and global jackpot information. Through this approach, users were not only presented with up-to-date prize information, but content was also created that effectively reflected the excitement, reliability, and brand integrity of Lotto 6/49 across social media channels.

I played an active role in updating and repurposing visuals from video shoots conducted in 2023 for Instagram posts and stories. Through these visuals, the goal was to clearly communicate to users that the brand had been refreshed and that its messaging had evolved.

We aimed to increase user engagement and strengthen brand awareness through social media posts highlighting weekly changing reward amounts. The designs incorporated the brand’s primary colors blue and gold top icons maintaining familiar visual elements for users while ensuring a consistent and cohesive brand experience.

By taking part in the Lotto 6/49 social media project, I learned how to increase user engagement on Instagram through dynamic and up-to-date content, maintain brand visual consistency through the created assets, and understand the importance of collaborating with copywriters and directors within a team.
