Amazon Home is Amazon’s home shopping division that brings together everything customers need for their living spaces. It offers furniture, décor, kitchenware, and organization solutions. Amazon Home’s products and themes change seasonally. To highlight these products and themes, the Amazon Home website is refreshed during these periods, with colors and category sections updated to match the theme.

For this seasonal campaign, design work was carried out for the Amazon Home website using 2024 visuals for the Dinner Party, Fall Decor, and Premium Home themes. While creating these designs, Amazon Home brand colors and imagery were used to develop layouts for the desktop tall hero, browse nodes (category), social media, and display platforms. Additionally, preparations were made for the “Shop Popular Brands” section by collaborating with major brands such as Dyson, Ninja, and Keurig.

As a designer of Amazon’s Creative team, I took on the role of designer and visual lead. I produced the tall hero, search, display, and social media designs for Amazon Home. Throughout this campaign, over 1,500 designs were created. These designs aimed to increase user interest in Amazon Home while also improving click-through rates.

Campaign Results

Setting the scene

Throughout the campaign, I was responsible for all static desktop homepage and mobile hero layouts for the Amazon event. I ensured that visuals reflecting the theme were highlighted, aiming for users to immediately grasp the campaign message upon landing on the page.

Guiding Shoppers

Browse Node banners were designed using the updated Amazon Home color palette, enabling users to quickly find products while increasing the visibility of theme messaging and improving the overall shopping experience. The update process for the Event Hub section, the campaign’s central hub, was also managed.

Inspiring at every scroll

Social media visuals and content assets were produced for Amazon Home’s seasonal campaigns. Editorial visuals aligned with the Dinner Party, Fall Decor, and Premium Home themes strengthened campaign messaging and aimed to boost user engagement.

Engaging shoppers anywhere

Display ads were designed across Amazon Home’s various platforms, highlighting seasonal collections and featured products. Creative assets aligned with the campaign theme and brand visuals increased user engagement while ensuring consistent brand representation.

Key Takeaways

In this project, I learned to create a consistent visual language across different platforms (desktop, mobile, social media, display) and gained experience with Amazon Home, a subdivision of Amazon.com. This allowed me to see how Amazon Home not only inspires users through seasonal themes but also enhances the shopping experience through browse node and Event Hub designs.
